WOW Transmog Mount (Vendors and Repair) – Complete List and Instructions

WOW Transmog Mount (Vendors and Repair) – Complete List and Instructions

Mounts in World of Warcraft have come a long way since they first appeared in 2004. Originally, player-owned rides were extremely expensive, a show of status, and only allowed you to travel between locations significantly faster. They are now more than just a mode of transportation. Some mounts have amazing quality of life characteristics that can make or break your farming or mythic+ runs.

We’ll go through all of the WoW Transmog mounts with vendors, how to obtain them, and why you should have them in your collection. This list will be in the order in which they were added to the game. It’s unclear whether Shadowlands has a similar mount, but if it does, this entry will be updated to reflect it.

There are currently three vendor mounts in World of Warcraft.

Traveler’s Tundra Mammoth

transmog mount: Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth

Back in Wrath of the Lich King, the Reins of the Traveler’s Tundra Mammoth was the first vendor mount to be added to the game.

This was a fantastic addition because nothing like it had ever been seen before. If a raid party needed repairs, they had to rely on someone in the group having a repair bot or ask their Warlocks to conjure a summoning stone so they could Hearthstone out and be repaired.

On this mount, you can not only repair and sell goods, but you can also buy food that is needed for levels up to 80. Obviously, this is out of date now, but it was really beneficial at the time.

Mei Francis sells the Traveler’s Tundra Mammoth for 20,000 gold, with no faction rep reductions. In WotLK, 20,000 gold was a lot more valuable than it is now, and obtaining this mount was a huge accomplishment.

Mei may be found at 57.6, 42.6 in old Dalaran.

Grand Expedition Yak

The Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak, which appeared with the Mists of Pandaria expansion, is the second item on the list. This yak has a far more appealing appearance than the tundra, and it’s also more expensive!

Why should you buy the Grand Expedition Yak instead of the Mammoth? Transmogs! This mount not only includes repair and vendor choices, but it also has an NPC that allows you to transmogrify your gear, or anybody else’s for that matter.

This mount can be a huge time saver for individuals who are continually running to the nearest transmog NPC. I’m guilty of having to transmog a new piece of gear the soon I put it on if it detracts from the overall appearance of my character. Nothing is more unappealing than having dazzling shining armour but odd dark leather shoulders.

Uncle Bigpocket in Kun-Lai Summit may sell you the Grand Expedition Yak for 120,000 gold. The coordinates of this yak connoisseur are 65.4, 61.6.

The Mighty Caravan’s Leashes The mount vendor world’s bid daddy is Brutosaur. This mount was introduced in Battle for Azeroth, and it is today one of the most well-known mounts in the game. Why is it, you might wonder? There are two explanations for this.

To begin with, this mount is enormous. Massive in every way. It’s understandable, given that it’s a dinosaur.

The pricing is the second consideration. The price of the mount is 5,000,000 gold. That’s right, 5 million dollars in gold. One of the NPCs the mount has equipped is the reason for its exorbitant pricing. You can sell stuff and repair gear like the Yak and Mammoth, but the Brutosaur has a unique feature. It even has its own NPC auction house!

I’m sure I don’t need to say how convenient it would be to have an on-demand auction house materialise next to you anytime you want, but I’ll say it anyway. Bags overflowing with herbs and ore from the farm? No problem, simply sell them to an auction company.

Trying to find a specific item that only appears once in a while at the auction house? No issue; simply check in on a regular basis while you’re out adventuring.

Before you get too enthusiastic and start calculating how long it will take you to farm 5 million gold, I’ve got some bad news for you. During the Shadowlands pre-patch, the Mighty Caravan Bruosaur, also known as longboi, is being REMOVED.

Blizzard has stated that this mount will periodically appear on the Black Market Auction House, but I can tell you that you will spend significantly more than the initial 5 million gold price.

Depending on your faction, you can purchase this mount from one of two locations.

This list of mounts with dealers, as well as my small piece of history added to each entry, might prove useful. Having at least one of these mounts will improve your quality of life so much that you’ll wonder how you ever got by without one.

Also, don’t feel obligated to use them all. The mammoth is the only vendor and repair option available to most people I know, and it just takes an hour or two of farming to afford it.

If you’re after the Brutosaur, I wish you luck and hope you can get it before it’s banished to the BMAH’s depths.

A Transmogrifier who can assist you transmog your gear, as well as a Vendor/Fix person who can help you repair and sell your stuff. Uncle Bigpicket will sell you this mount for 120’000 gold.

For the Horde, the Reins of the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur may be purchased from Talutu in Grand Bazaar in Dazar’alor, and for the Alliance, Tricky Nick at Hook Point, Boralus. By the way, same traders also sell another quite pricey Mount, the Palehide Direhorn, which costs 500.000 Gold.
