The Witcher Season 3 Filming started, Revealed Plot, Synopsis and Directors.
Netflix announced that Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra are now filming season 3 of the Witcher Netflix series. You can see them in this behind-the-scenes photo from the set.
The Witcher 3 is a fantasy RPG. The titular character, Geralt of Rivia, is now voiced by Henry Cavill. The second season revealed Ciri to have the Elder Blood. Chalotra plays the quarter-elf sorceress who was a former love interest for Geralt in The Witcher series.
Fans of the series can expect to see Stephen Surjik, Gandja Monteiro, Loni Peristere and Bola Ogun on the list for directors for The Witcher season 3.
Everyone except Surjik is new to the The Witcher franchise. I believe each director will be in charge of directing two episodes. If our past patterns are anything to go by, there will be four directors in total.
I wrote in my review of The Witcher’s second season that the Netflix series has improved upon its first season and has a ways to go before it can be called the next Game of Thrones.
After being renewed, the third season of The Witcher won’t be released until after 2023. Hopefully, it will have a span between seasons closer to 2 years as opposed to 4-5 years.
