His expression can be changed between a valiant battle gaze, a kind smile, and his usual expression. Tanjiro’s black Nichirin Blade is also an optional part, and the effect parts allow fans to pose him in two of his most famous techniques.
Tanjiro’s First Style: Water Surface Slice and Second Style: Water Wheel recreations are shown below.
Three face plates, his Kasugai Crow, and effect parts are included with the Giyu Tomioka Nendoroid. The three expressions of the Water Hashira are enraged, astonished, and standard.
Giyu’s extra pieces are much more meticulously detailed than Tanjiro’s effects. Giyu includes a Water Breathing effect and a sheet for his Water Breathing Eleventh Form: Dead Calm in the photos below.
The Tanjiro Kamado is currently available, while the Giyu Tomioka Nendoroids are also available for pre-order.
Demon Slayer figures are plentiful at Good Smile. Sabito, Makomo, and a Tanjiro Kamado final selection Nendoroid are now available for preorder.
Tanjiro is a young lad of medium height, with a tanned complexion and a muscular, athletic build. He has ruffled black hair with burgundy tips that he combs back to reveal his forehead, as well as big, dark red eyes with white pupils that appear lighter around the lower half of his irises.
As a result of his intensive training under Sakonji Urokodaki, his hands are notably tougher for someone his age.
Tanjiro looks like his ancestor Sumiyoshi, with similar facial structure, eyes, and hairdo, however Sumiyoshi’s has longer hair, roughly shoulder-length, and knotted in a ponytail behind his head.
Tanjiro is initially seen wearing a black and seafoam-green patterned haori over a white robe and black leggings.
He wears a turquoise scarf on occasion and has white circular bands looped around his calves. He also sports a unique pair of hanafuda earrings depicting the rising sun over a mountain.
Tanjiro wears a blue cloud-patterned samue-styled kimono and black slacks for the Final Selection, which is remarkably identical to Sakonji’s costume.
His hanafuda earrings are still on his ears, but his hair has been trimmed incredibly short and has remained the same length since. On the left side of his head, Tanjiro wears a hand-carved fox mask fashioned by his master, just like the rest of the apprentices who were trained by Sakonji.
Red accents may be found on the mask’s eyes, ears, and patches on each corner of its lips. The sun-shaped motif in the upper right corner of the mask most likely represents the scar on his forehead.
Tanjiro wears a dark-brown gakuran jacket, a white belt, baggy chocho zubon pants that extend into tabi socks, a pair of zri with red straps, and bands of white fabric wrapped tightly around his calves resembling kyahan beneath his distinctive checkered haori after becoming a Demon Slayer.
On his back, he carries a large wooden box (a gift from Sakonji Urokodaki) in which his sister naps when they travel during the day.
In the Infinity Castle, he injures his right eye during his second encounter with Muzan Kibutsuji.
Tanjiro abruptly collapses as the conflict advances, and his wound begins to create a big mass over his right eye as a result of Muzan’s poison.
Muzan later describes Tanjiro’s appearance as’repulsive’ when he wakes up. Muzan severs Tanjiro’s left arm later in the conflict.
Tanjiro is able to repair the growth on his face, as well as regrow his lost limb and other minor injuries, after Muzan transforms him into a demon.
After overcoming his weakness to sunlight, he acquires eyes with slit pupils, fangs, and flame-shaped marks across his left forehead and right jaw, as well as a third, smaller flame-shaped mark coming down from the right side of his head down to his eyebrow.
His scar has grown larger and is the greatest of the three markings, and all three points vaguely towards his nose, yet only his scar-mark reaches it.
He keeps his bloodstained corps uniform on, with one sleeve ripped off where his arm was cut, but he no longer has his checkered haori or the Nichirin Sword at his hip.
After reverting to human form, Tanjiro loses the ability to see out of his right eye, which has a dull pink-gray iris and a black pupil instead of the original white.
His left arm, which he regrew as a Demon, is now wrinkled and skeleton, and he loses all feeling in it below the elbow, as well as the ability to move it from his forearm down.
Tanjiro is a naturally kind individual who has been described as having gentle eyes and a sensitive demeanour by others. He is tenacious and will not give up once he has set a goal for himself; the clearest example of this is his never-ending search for a treatment for Nezuko.
Even though he is capable on his own, Tanjiro isn’t afraid to seek assistance from others when he requires it. He is fiercely protective of his pals, particularly his younger sister.
Despite his good temperament, Tanjiro has a limit to his patience and has a dislike for rudeness and cowardice, as he is quickly frustrated by Zenitsu Agatsuma’s frequent complaining and upset by Inosuke Hashibira’s barbarous behaviour.
With straightforward attitude, Tanjiro take everyone’s words seriously. When Tengen Uzui claimed to be a god, he inquired as to which realm he was the god of. He has a hard time lying, and when he does, his face contorts dramatically as his sincere nature fights with the insincerity of his words.
Tanjiro grew up in the Japanese countryside and has little experience living in a huge city. He marvelled at the dazzling lights that engulfed Asakusa and Yoshiwara on his missions there.
He mistakenly believed the Mugen railway was the land’s protector soul, and he had no idea what a red-light district is, just as Inosuke.
Tanjiro is a person with a building fire of fury and revenge inside of him, hidden beneath his seemingly pleasant and friendly exterior.
When Tanjiro first confronts Muzan, he shows this aspect of him by preparing to attack him with his sword. When Muzan flees, Tanjiro vents his rage by declaring that he will be the one to kill Muzan.
When the kidnapped Demon Slayers’ necks were snapped by the Mother Spider Demon’s threads on Mount Natagumo, Tanjiro displays a level of rage that even Inosuke detects.
He was enraged when he saw Daki laughing after witnessing her slay three people indiscriminately with her sashes, and he confronted her alone.
After Muzan’s speech, in which he compares himself to a natural calamity, Tanjiro shows his true colours. Muzan is described by Tanjiro as “a entity that should not exist.”
When confronted with senseless wickedness. Tanjiro reveals a more terrible and cold side of himself, acting more violently against his opponents as a result.
The ability to empathise with everyone, including demons, is anjiro’s most prominent trait, which causes him to pause before administering the fatal blow.
Tanjiro has a unique philosophy about demons, believing that those who have done evil should be executed without mercy, but those who regret their actions should not be dismissed after death, demonstrating significant complexity and maturity in Tanjiro’s thinking, which was most likely influenced by his sister.
Tanjiro, on the other hand, gets experience through time and becomes more calculated and rigorous in his judgements. His bravery in defending the poor obligates him to treat his adversaries with respect and decency, whether they are good humans or malevolent demons.
Tanjiro is enthusiastic about bringing evil to justice by any means necessary, even saying that demons who have done horrible atrocities will have their heads cut off and confronted about their inhumane thinking and criminal activities.
As a demon, Tanjiro appeared to be mindless. He acted like a ferocious beast, savagely attacking anybody who crossed his path.
Even his best friends were not secure. One exception was Nezuko, whom he refused to harm after tasting her blood; this could indicate that he was resisting his metamorphosis. His animosity toward the Demon Slayers could also have stemmed from Muzan’s intention to exterminate all Demon Slayers.
With natural talent for battle mainly swordsmanship, Tanjiro was prodigious fighter from the start. Tanjiro was previously known to possess superhuman abilities such as amazing senses, a keen sense of smell, tremendous willpower, and a sharp brain.
His inherent abilities have allowed him to outsmart and catch Giyu Tomioka, one of the most powerful Demon Slayers, off guard, and nearly kill him with nothing more than his heated emotions.
Tanjiro was able to effortlessly take down multiple low-level demons without the aid of others after learning Water Breathing and accepting the Final Selection.
His combat prowess and intellectual ability allowed Tanjiro to adapt to and beat his opponents. This was demonstrated when he defeated the Swamp Demon, Susamaru, Yahaba, and Kyogai using the distinctive Blood Demon Arts and combat styles of reasonably powerful and talented demons.
Despite being the organization’s lowest rank, Tanjiro could hold his own against demons who shared the powers of a member of the Twelve Kizuki, the world’s twelve most powerful demons, and subsequently against a real member, Rui, Lower Rank Five.
After recalling the Hinokami Kagura, which he learnt from his father as a boy, he nearly defeated the Lower Rank demon, a feat that many thought could only be accomplished by a Hashira, the best swordsman in the Demon Slayer Corps.
Standard Nichirin Katana: Tanjiro wields a standard sized and shaped Nichirin katana as a Demon Slayer. Hotaru Haganezuka made his first katana, and he also repaired it on several occasions.
The first time he held it, it turned a deep black colour, but it now transforms to a brilliant red colour, either due to Nezuko Kamado’s Blood Demon Art or because he knowingly turns it bright red through his Demon Slayer Mark.
His original hilt is a black ring with a border of the same colour connecting it to its core, like a waggon wheel in appearance. Tanjiro’s katana comes with a basic sword sheath in a deep black colour.
He turned into the antique katana he found inside Yoriichi Type Zero, polished by Hotaru Haganezuka, after the Swordsmith Village Arc.
His hilt is replaced with Kyojuro Rengoku’s, which is formed like a flame with a red core and an orange perimeter. The new blade is already dark black, but it has a more detailed pattern on the side and the word Slay etched on it.
It is also noticeably stronger; whereas Tanjiro’s previous sword shattered practically every time he faced the Twelve Kizuki, this blade only broke at the end of the final confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji.
