Nagito Komaeda is a student in Hope’s Peak Academy’s Class 77-B and a participant in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair’s Killing School Trip. The Ultimate Lucky Student is his moniker.
In Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High School, he and Class 77-B return to investigate their school life leading up to The Tragedy.
As “Servant,” he also appears in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. In the OVA Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the World Vanquisher, he returns as the protagonist, exploring his ideal world.
Appearance of Nagito komaeda
Nagito komaeda is a tall, slender young man with very broad shoulders, sickly pale complexion, and bright gray-green eyes with thick lashes. His hair is shoulder-length and naturally wavy, and it is characterised as seeming like it “doesn’t belong to a living person”.
It is an unusually light pinkish off-white colour that fades to white the closer to his head. His hair has a little warmer, cream tone in Danganronpa 2, but it is silvery-white with grey tones in Danganronpa 3. His hair is longer, messier, and darker by the events of Danganronpa Another Episode, which takes place some years later (presumably with dirt).
Nagito is dressed in a small dark green zipper coat with a jagged-cut tail that he keeps unzipped. It has a red square pattern across the right shoulder, a giant, square-shaped ’55’ on the back, and two red drawstrings that hang down on either side of his chest, threaded through the hood.
He’s wearing a white scoop-neck T-shirt underneath with a red pattern on the front that looks like two interlocking hooks. He’s dressed in plain black jeans, a wallet chain with a skull charm, and pale brown shoes with two zippers on each side.
He wears the school’s uniform while at Hope’s Peak Academy: a brown jacket and matching pants, a crimson tie, and dark brown lace-up shoes. He wears a sleeveless green sweater with a crimson v-neck collar and a large, horizontal stripe across the centre, leaving the top few buttons of his shirt undone.
He wears a cropped black jacket with three white buttons on the right and one red button on the left as the Servant and Ultimate Despair in Danganronpa Another Episode. He wears a dark-red and olive-green scoop-neck shirt below, with long sleeves folded over the jacket’s cuffs, and a long beige undershirt underneath.
He’s dressed in black slacks and low-heeled black shoes with red shoelaces. He wears a striped mitten on his left hand to conceal Junko’s hand, which is sewed in lieu of his own hand and has long, red nails. He also wears a collar with a chain that runs all the way down to his knees, which was given to him by the Warriors of Hope.
The Servant is characterised as always smiling, regardless of the treatment he suffers, and as having “a fairly lovely face,” with Genocide Jack even referring to him as “a pretty guy.” She also mentions his slender form when she refers to him as “a skinny white-haired person.”
He replaced Junko’s non-functional left hand with a robotic forearm and hand after waking up from a coma on Jabberwock Island and having his brainwashing undone.
On the outside, the prosthetic is white, while on the inside, it is black. His palm is black, his fingers are white on the backs, and his thumb is white as well. Where the new arm is, the sleeve of his coat has been shredded, with most of the jagged material remaining attached. When he moves the arm, it creates a fairly loud mechanical sound.
First impression of Nagito komaeda
Nagito appears to be a courteous, friendly, and easygoing young man but is nonetheless insecure. Even Hajime Hinata admits that his dazzling smile is reassuring. Even after Hajime urged him to leave, he was the only one who stayed with Hajime when he was unconscious and displayed concern for his well-being.
Though he is cordial with everyone, he is mainly interested in spending time with Hajime and can be rather clingy. As a result, Hajime finds him tiresome and unreliable, yet he is still a nice person.
Nagito tries to be the team’s dispute mediator and a poster boy for optimism, often pushing people to be cheerful and cooperative, but he is dismissed. Hiyoko Saionji mocks him, finding his histrionic pep talks about optimism and friendship to be both awkward and monotonous.
He is generally subservient and self-deprecating, often agreeing with Hiyoko and the others’ sarcastic remarks.
Nagito, despite claiming to be a pessimist, looks to be exceptionally carefree; he lacks tact and says awkward, odd, and unsettling things without realising it.
He can also be more strong at times; he is quick to chastise Hajime when he is overly pessimistic or when he believes he is bullying Mikan Tsumiki. He is especially irritated by Teruteru Hanamura’s handling of women, and he takes it upon himself to monitor him to ensure he does not harass anyone.
Ultimate Lucky Student
Nagito Komaeda earned the title of Ultimate Lucky Student by winning a lottery among otherwise regular pupils, which led to his acceptance at Hope’s Peak Academy.
He initially declined, claiming he didn’t deserve it, but they urged he attend. Nagito has a recurring cycle of good and terrible fortune. Whenever he experiences something very fortunate, something equally unlucky is certain to follow soon after.
While the gift appears to protect him from death, it has the potential to inflict him enormous pain and has killed many individuals in his vicinity. Izuru Kamukura, and subsequently Hajime, are the only people who have the same luck as him.
According to old Japanese and Chinese beliefs, Nagito’s birthday (the 28th day of the fourth month) greatly relates his talent, with his birth month indicating bad luck and death and his birthdate representing a twofold amount of wealth and fortune.
Given the mystical themes in the show, it’s possible that his strange birthday has something to do with his exceptional luck.
Who is Nagito’s crush?
From the beginning, Nagito seems to be interested in Hajime.
